Florian manages Software Development & Operations for INTEREL, leading provider of guest room management solutions and pioneering the Hotel of Things, based out of Dubai. His previous experience includes running Product Strategy & Development at iRiS Software Systems, creating guest-facing hospitality applications for clients such as Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental and Accor, as well as various positions and consultancy engagements in Hospitality organizations such as Kempinski and with numerous companies in the digital space. Florian completed his studies at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management and Cornell University, focusing his research on the intersection of Hospitality and Technology. In his spare time, he enjoys photography and music production, and is the founder of an independent house music label.
As diversification continues to become the new normal in the region’s economic strategies, opportunities and investments in the Tourism and Hospitality industry can only be expected to grow and expand. With new deals being signed this year for new Projects and developments across the region and with Dubai currently standing out with around 612 Hotels with 85,000 rooms and plans to deliver additional 140 Hotels with 30,000 rooms in the emirate by the end of this year and many more up for delivery next year. Continuous embrace of technology to control operational cost, customer engagement, experience and satisfaction will no doubt ensure that this growth momentum is sustained.
